Cypriot health authorities announced the death of an 85-year-old woman and 200 new COVID-19 infections on Wednesday, bringing the total number of fatalities to 571 and of infections to 123, 908 since the outbreak of the pandemic.
A press release issued by the Ministry of Health says that the daily positivity rate stood at 0.36%.
After the death of the 85-year old at Famagusta General Hospital, total deaths rose to 571 of whom 363 or 64% men and 208 or 36% women, with a median age of 76.1 years.
According to the Ministry, 56 patients receive treatment in public hospitals, of whom 18 are being treated in a serious condition in ACUs and ICUs. Of the 18 patients in serious condition, 8 are intubated in ICUs, three in ICU without a ventilator and 7 patients are in ACUs.
