Cyprus and San Marino Foreign Ministers sign Agreement on the Avoidance of Double Taxation

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Ioannis Kasoulides, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Political Affairs and Justice of San Marino, Mr Nicola Renzi, signed today, 19 May 2017, in Lefkosia, an Agreement between the Republic of Cyprus and the Republic of San Marino on the Avoidance of Double Taxation. Before the signing of the Agreement, the two Ministers had a private meeting.

The Agreement aims at further strengthening the relations of the two countries and expanding their cooperation in multiple levels.

Moreover, Minister Kasoulides had yesterday and today, 18-19 May 2017, separate bilateral meetings with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Greece, Georgia, Czech Republic, Holland, Switzerland, Belgium and Serbia, as well as with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova and the Undersecretary of State of Foreign Affairs of Italy, who are visiting Cyprus to participate in the 127th Meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, organized by the Cyprus Chairmanship of the Committee and presided over by Mr Kasoulides.

At the meetings, the bilateral relations and issues of international and regional interest were reviewed. In addition, Minister Kasoulides briefed the European officials on the developments on the negotiations process for the Cyprus problem.
