Cyprus and Morocco look into possibilities to promote cooperation in agriculture and environmental issues

Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment Minister Nicos Kouyialis and the Ambassador of Morocco to Cyprus, seated in Athens, Samir Addahre discussed the possibilities of cooperation between Cyprus and Morocco in the fields of agriculture industry, fish farming, water management, climate change and innovative project for renewable energy sources.

According to a press release issued by the Agriculture Ministry their meeting took place in the framework of an official visit Addahre paid to Cyprus, with a view to enhance the bilateral relations of the two countries to address common challenges.

During the meeting, Kouyialis discussed with the Ambassador various policy issues related to his ministry and more specifically the possibilities of cooperation in the fields of agriculture industry, fish farming, water management, climate change and innovative project for renewable energy sources.

The two officials noted the need for the involvement of the private sector to further enhance bilateral relations and agreed to promote the organisation of a business conference.
