Cyprus and EIB to sign loan agreements amounting to Euros 55 million

Cyprus and the European Investment Bank (EIB) will sign to agreements for financing infrastructure projects amounting to Euros 55 million.

The two agreements concerning the financing of the construction of a water pipeline from the Vasilikos Desalination Unit to Nicosia (Euros 40 mln) and of anti-flood projects in the framework of the Larnaca sewage system will be signed by Finance Minister Harris Georgiades the EIB Vice President Jonathan Talyor who will visit Cyprus on October 18, a press release issued today by the Finance Ministry writes.

During his stay in Cyprus, Taylor, which will be accompanied by other EIB officials will hold a series of meetings with Georgiades with whom they will discuss issues concerning the cooperation between Cyprus and EIB as well as the banks activities in the context of the joint efforts to support the Cypriot economy
