Cyprus is an example of smaller EU member states with very high level of contribution to the development of the European defence capabilities and to the innovation of this sector, Jiri Sedivy, Chief Executive, European Defence Agency has stressed.
Sedivy met on Monday with Cyprus Defence Minister Charalampos Petrides, who stressed that Cyprus has managed to be an active state by participating in programmes, working groups and activities of the European Defence Agency.
In statements after the meeting, Petrides said that the European Defense Agency is an important organization for the Republic of Cyprus and in general for the European Union itself in the field of development of European equipment and capabilities.
