Cyprus aims to become a pillar of stability in the region of the Eastern Mediterranean, Defence Minister Charalambos Petrides said in a speech at the 25th Economist conference, held in Lagonisi, Greece.

Petrides participating in the panel on “Security Challenges in the Eastern Mediterranean”, underlined the importance of regional synergies in the effort to achieve conditions of peace and prosperity in the region.
