Contacts continue in Crans-Montana with slight changes in schedule

The schedule of meetings and contacts that are taking place this morning in Crans-Montana, in the framework of the Conference on Cyprus, have slightly changed.

Following the half hour discussion on the issue of security and guarantees, that took place in the presence of the UN Secretary General and the delegations, Antonio Guterres met bilaterally with the President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades and later with the Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci. The UN chief would then meet separately with the Foreign Minister of Greece Nikos Kotzias and the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

President Anastasiades is also meeting with EU High Representative and Commission Vice President Federica Mogherini. The telephone conversation of the President of Cyprus with US Vice President Mike Pence is expected to take place at 15.30 Cyprus time (12.30 GMT).

The working lunch that was initially scheduled for 14.15 Cyprus time has been postponed until 14.45. The members of the Greek Cypriot delegation have already departed from the Conference venue to attend lunch.
