Contact numbers for Cobalt Air stranded passengers to be announced soon, Minister tells CNA

Contact numbers that Cobalt Air stranded passengers will be able to use to find one way return tickets to their country of residence will be announced soon, Transport Minister Vassiliki Anastasiadou has told CNA, noting that the ticket cost will be covered by the state.

Cobalt Air ceased all operations at midnight yesterday and entered into administration process, after 2 years and 3 months of operations, expressing great regret.

Replying to a question by Cyprus News Agency on what will happen to stranded passengers Anastasiadou said that the ministry’s foremost priority is to help the people who are stranded either in Cyprus or abroad.

We will publish today telephone numbers for passengers to contact for one-way tickets, so that they can return to their country of residence, she added.

The minister further announced that the cost of the tickets will be covered by the state.

At the same time, she clarified that these tickets only concern passengers who are stranded and not those who have booked tickets to travel abroad.
