Construction materials record annual increase of 16.69% in August

The Construction Materials Price Index recorded a 16.69% increase in August 2022 compared to August 2021.

 

According to data from the Statistical Service, the index stood at 134.34 points (base in 2015=100) this August, a marginal decrease of 0.13% compared to the previous month.

 

In addition, it is noted that by major product category, increases were recorded in metal products (19.66%), minerals (15.81%), wood products, insulation, chemicals and plastics (15.69%), mineral products (15.62%) and electromechanical products (11.91%).
