The prices of construction materials were up on an annual base by nearly 15% this September, data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service (CyStat) on Wednesday, show.
In particular, the price index of construction materials for September 2021 reached 115.78 units (base year 2015=100), recording an increase of 0.51% compared to the previous month.
Compared to the same month of the previous year, CyStat says, the index recorded an increase of 14.92%.
By main commodity category, increases were recorded in metallic products (30.64%), products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals and plastics (15.71%), electromechanical products (11.37%), minerals (2.21%) and mineral products (1.50%).
