Commissioner says government doing its utmost for the fate of every missing person in Cyprus

Presidential Commissioner Photis Photiou said on Sunday that the President of Cyprus and his government as well as all involved in the missing persons` issue are doing their utmost and take actions and initiatives to solve this humanitarian issue.

Speaking at the funeral of soldier Stelios Pashias who fought at the Turkish invasion and whose remains were located near the Turkish Cypriot village of Templos in 2007, Photiou said that initiatives are being taken at all levels in Cyprus and abroad for progress to be made in the issue.

He referred once again to the stance displayed by Turkey as regards the Cyprus solution and its unacceptable claims, adding that the government and the President continue to advocate our just position based on the international law and the UN Resolutions on Cyprus.
