The EU’s Health Commissioner Stella Kyriakides and the EU’s Scientific Advice Platform discussed the current epidemiological situation in the European Union, as it is shaped by the rapid spread of the Omicron variant, on Wednesday afternoon.
In a tweet, Kyriakides underlined that “with record numbers and hospitals under pressure it is the time for continued vigilance and responsibility”.
“Vaccinating, boosting, masking can help protect our communities” the Commissioner added.
