Cyprus-Greece-Israel trilateral summit historic, President says

President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades has said that a trilateral summit between Cyprus, Greece and Israel which took place with the participation of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was historic and replying to questions has expressed the conviction that soon more announcements will be made which will have to do with European powers. On the sidelines of the summit, President Anastasiades held bilateral meetings.

DiCarlo to brief UN Security Council on Cyprus after UNSG submits report on his good offices mission

The UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo will brief the UN Security Council members about developments regarding efforts to solve the Cyprus problem, after the submission of the UNSG’s report on his Good Offices Mission in Cyprus to the Council, scheduled to take place on April 15.

President Anastasiades departs for Brussels to participate in the European Council summit

President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades has departed for Brussels to participate in the European Council summit to be held on 21 and 22 March. According to an official press release, Brexit, the Multiannual Financial Framework, Migration, Climate Change and EU External Relations are expected to be discussed during the Summit. The Council will also make preparations in view of the EU-China Summit to take place on 9 April.
