FM signs agreements in Kuwait and discusses further enhancement of bilateral ties

Cyprus FM Nikos Christodoulides has signed bilateral agreements in Kuwait, during an official visit which will be concluded on Monday. During his contacts the Minister also discussed ways of further enhancement of the bilateral relations.

Japan’s ambition is to host the best Olympic Games in history, said the country’s Ambassador to Cyprus Shinichi Nakatsugawa. According to a Cyprus Olympic Committee (COC) announcement, Ambassador Nakatsugawa met with COC President Dinos Michaelides at the Olympic Hall, in Nicosia, last Friday and discussed mainly the 2020 Olympic Games to be held in Tokyo.

Retail trade turnover value and volume up in September

The turnover value index of retail trade was up by 4.3% in September, provisional estimates published by the Cyprus Statistical Service show.

Cyprus First Division continues with Ermis Aradipou-Doxa Katokopias match

Round ten of the Cyprus First Division will be completed Monday with the Ermis Aradipou-Doxa Katokopias match in Larnaca. During the weekend matches, Paphos won over Paralimni with 1-0, Omonia and Anorthosis finished with a 1-1 tie while Nea Salamina took AEL Limassol by surprise with a 4-1 score. On Saturday, victories were also scored by Apollon over Alki with 3-0 and AEK over APOEL with 1-0. Apollon leads the standings with 22 points (nine matches), followed by AEL, 22 points, APOEL 20 points, AEK 19 points (eight matches, Nea Salamina 19 points, Anorthosis 13 points, Omonoia 13, Doxa Katokopias with ten points, Paphos with 8, Enosi Neon Paralimniou 7 points, Ermis with 6 points and Alki with four points.
