British PM expresses hope that progress will be made towards the resumption of Cyprus talks

President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades updated UK Prime Minister Theresa May on the latest developments as regards the efforts to resume negotiations on the Cyprus problem, during their meeting on Tuesday in London. May reaffirmed the UK did not wish to retain its guarantor status. President Anastasiades also met at Clarence House with the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cambridge. Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Christodoulides met with Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt.

Cyprus and Germany agree to intensify cooperation over PESCO

The number of registered unemployed fell 13% in February

The number of registered unemployed fell by 4,453 persons, marking a 13% reduction in February 2019 on a yearly basis, according to the data kept at the District Labour Offices and were released by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.
