Greek FM informs his Cypriot counterpart about his meetings in the US

Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Christodoulides had on Monday a meeting in Brussels with his Greek counterpart Nikos Kotzias, in the margins of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, convening in Brussels. Kotzias briefed Christodoulides on his recent visit to Washington DC, and about his meeting with the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

Around 3.9% of Cypriots of working age lived in another EU member state in 2017

Around 3.9% of Cypriots of working age lived in another EU member state in 2017, -3.2 points less than 2012 (6.7%) according to Eurostat, the statistical service of the EU. Similarily 3.8% of European Union (EU) citizens of working age (20-64) were residing in another EU member state than that of their citizenship in 2017. This share has increased from 2.5% ten years ago. The situation varies among member states, ranging from 1.0% for working age citizens of Germany to 19.7% for citizens of Romania.

Cyprus ranks second in the European Statistics Competition

Cyprus ranked second in the senior age group of the European Statistics Competition.

A press release from the Cyprus Statistical Service said the initiative aims to promote awareness of sound statistics in an age of fake news. It does so by promoting statistical literacy and curiosity among students, while encouraging teachers to use new educational materials based on official statistics.

Paphos journalists visit Amman

The unique culture and sights of Amman, Jordan were presented to during a trip organised for journalists of Paphos, on the occasion of the commencement of the Amman � Paphos route.

The Cyprus News Agency visited Amman during a trip organised by the Paphos Regional Board of Tourism with Ryanair to help promote the new Paphos � Amman route.
