CMP launched book titled “Beneath the Carob trees”

The Committee on Missing Persons (CMP) launched Tuesday night a book, titled “Beneath the Carob Trees: The Lost Lives of Cyprus”, which presents the work carried out by the Committee.

The book is published in Greek, Turkish and English versions and is jointly distributed by two Cypriot publishing houses, Armida Publications and Galeri Kultur Yay?nlar?.

“Working for CMP I work for peace”, “CMP can be a role model of cooperation”, its a difficult but yet an exiting job”, “I found the remains of my grandfather” were the words of some of the 80 scientists and investigators, Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots, working jointly for CMP to locate, exhume and identify missing persons from 1963 and 1974, in which they introduced themselves in a short video screened at the beginning of the launch of the book at Goethe Institute in Nicosia.
