Cabinet approves Cyprus’ accession to the International Development Law Organisation

The Council of Ministers approved on Tuesday the accession of the Republic of Cyprus to the International Development Law Organisation (IDLO), Deputy Minister to the President, Petros Demetriou said in a written statement after the Cabinet meeting which was chaired by House of Representatives President, Annita Demetriou.

Deputy Minister to the President noted that the IDLO is merely engaged with the promotion of the rule of law and sustainable development. It comprises 37 members, among which the US, China, Australia, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait, Turkey and OFID/OPEC Fund for International De?elopment.

IDLO implements projects in more than 30 countries on issues related to peace and democracy, access to justice, the rule of law, public health, women and girls, sustainability and the economy.
