Bulgarian President begins official visit to Cyprus

President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev begins today a two -day official visit to Cyprus.

The Bulgarian President and his entourage arrived in the morning at the Presidential Palace where they were officially welcomed by President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades.

After the official welcoming ceremony a tete -a -tete meeting will take place between the two Presidents, followed by talks with the participation of their respective delegations.

A series of bilateral agreements will then be signed in the fields of merchant shipping, education, culture and science.

It is noted that Bulgaria will assume in January the presidency of the Council of the EU.

The two Presidents are expected to make statements to the press after their meeting.
