An IMF mission visits Cyprus for contacts concerning financial stability

An International Monetary Fund mission is visiting Cyprus in the context of the cooperation between the Fund and the Central Bank of Cyprus on issues concerning financial stability.

Sources told CNA that in the next three days two IMF technocrats will holding contacts with the CBC, the financial stability division of the Cyprus Finance Ministry, the Cyprus Banks Association and the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission.

The mission is in Cyprus for a fact-finding mission aiming to provide technical support aiming to further strengthen the CBC’s capacity on issues relating to financial stability, a Central Bank official told CNA.
