Agriculture Minister travels to Rome for African Union – EU ministerial conference

Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment Minister Costas Kadis travels to Rome to take part in the 3rd African Union � EU Ministerial Meeting, which takes place on Friday and will focus on the promotion of sustainable regional value chains of the agri-food sector.

Kadis will address the conference on the need for agricultural research and innovation in view of climate challenges, an announcement released by the press and information office says.

The Cypriot Minister will also take part in the 41st General Meeting of the UN Food and Agriculture Association (FAO) on June 22. On the sidelines of the meeting he will have a meeting with FAO’s General Manager Jose Graziano da Silva.
