Agia Napa Municipality signs agreement for Solid Waste Reduction Program

Agia Napa Mayor Yiannis Karousos and the Director of the Environment Department at the Ministry of Agriculture Kostas Hadjipanagiotou signed an agreement last week for the Reduction of Solid Waste from hotels and other tourist premises as well as from sites where there is a mass production of waste.

The agreement, according to a press release issued on Monday by the Municipality, is a memorandum of understanding regarding the operation of the equipment, which was received by the Municipality of Agia Napa in order to promote separate collection in recyclable materials as well as in organic waste.

Agia Napa is situated on the southeast coast of Cyprus and it is one of the major tourist resorts on the island.
