Age limit for a COVID-19 third dose vaccine drops to 60 years old in Cyprus

The age limit for a COVID-19 third dose vaccine drops to 60 years in Cyprus while new vulnerable groups of the population will get the booster dose as well.

The Council of Ministers approved on Friday a recommendation by Health Minister, Michalis Hadjipantelas, about the new groups of the population to which priority should be given for vaccination with the booster/3rd dose of the vaccine against COVID-19.

According to a Health Ministry press release, the aim of the effort is to protect the groups of the population of which, based on scientific documentation, immune response decreases following a certain period of time.
