Cyprus reports one more death, 58 new coronavirus cases, 292 hospitalisations

The Ministry of Health announced on Easter Sunday the death of one more patient of COVID19, bringing the total number of deaths to 314 207 men (66%), and 107 women (34%). Their median age is 78.

 

Meanwhile, 292 people are receiving treatment in state hospitals, 72 of whom in a serious condition. The median age of those hospitalised is 58,6.

 

In addition, 58 new coronavirus cases were detected after 6,158 laboratory tests (positivity rate 0,94%).

 

Since over a year ago, when the pandemic started, 66,430 people were infected with the virus.

In the next few weeks we will engage in an international campaign to secure respect for and implementation of the decisions of the UN Security Council and the terms of the mandate of the UN SG, President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades has said.
