Hermes Airports will organize the next Annual General Assembly of ACI Europe (Airports Council International) in June 2019.

A press release by Hermes Airports says that within the framework of the annual ACI Europe and World conference held in Brussels from 18 to 20 June 2018, the Chief Executive Officer of Brussels Airport (Zaventem) Arnaud Feist, officially handed over the organizer baton of the next General Assembly of ACI Europe to Hermes Airports and the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Eleni Kaloyirou.

The General Assembly of ACI Europe will take place in Limassol during the last week of June 2019.

This is the first time that Cyprus will have the opportunity to host such an important event in the field of air transport.

ACI is an international body representing airports worldwide and one of the most important institutions in its field. It advances the interests of airports internationally and promotes professional excellence in airport management and operations.

Each year, hundreds of Chief Executives from the aviation industry participate in ACI’s General Assembly, representing airports, airlines and other important stakeholders and companies of the air transportation sector.

“The organising of this event is an opportunity for us to host a great number of executives and professionals of the aviation industry and offer them a taste of Cyprus, the Eastern-most point of Europe, Eleni Kaloyirou said.

Olivier Jankovec, Director General of ACI Europe, said that We are delighted to be bringing this event to Cyprus for the very first time. Larnaka and Pafos airports were instrumental in helping Cyprus bounce back from the financial crisis and drive economic growth through enhanced connectivity, enabling tourism”.
