Andreas Mavroyiannis, the negotiator of the Greek Cypriot side, briefed on Monday Ambassadors in Nicosia about the outcome of the Geneva informal meeting on Cyprus that took place on April 27-29, and presented the G/c side`s position on a Cyprus solution, within the parameters of the UN resolutions and the UN Secretary General`s mandate. He also pointed out that Turkey`s claim for a two-state solution cannot be accepted.
A diplomatic sourse told CNA that Mavroyiannis spoke about the unacceptable Turkish claims and briefed the Ambassadors on the assessment the Greek Cypriot side has made and its evaluation of the steps forward.
